Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you - White Lies. Are they the next big thing? Well, if you take Q magazine's word for it (and I usually do), they are. This British trio is making serious headway with the British music press. They've even got an impressive cadre of celebrity fans (the dark lord himself, Nick Cave, showed up at one of their concerts recently!) White Lies are sure to satisfy those of us who were extremely disappointed by the last Interpol album. They follow in the grand footsteps of British post-punk bands such as Joy Division and Echo & The Bunnymen, and they wear their doom-and-gloom sound with sheer rock and roll elegance. Check them out now before they implode in a bubble of buzz!
